Garshankar December 31 - Past Welfare Committee President Balveer Singh Bains, Chairman Ramesh Lal, General Secretary Narinder Singh Soni, Finance Secretary Tirth Singh Mann, Satish Rana and Ram Ji Das Chauhan, Billa Kambala issued a joint statement saying that the Department of Power Comm. Long-term unannounced electricity cuts are being imposed in the area without any prior notice. Due to which the water supply for the residents is also being affected.
The said leaders said that the people of the Beit area had obtained the facility of 24-hour electricity supply after fighting a long struggle against the management of the power company and the state government and the authorities are well aware that the drinking water in the Beit area is not safe. As there is no alternative arrangement, the residents of the area depend only on the water supply schemes. People are not getting drinking water due to frequent power cuts.
Due to which the people of the area curse the officials of the power com and the current rulers. The said leaders announced that on Thursday 4th January 2024 at exactly 11 am, the delegation of the welfare committee will meet Axion Power Comm at their office in Garshankar and ask them to stop the unannounced cuts. If the cuts are still not stopped, the Beit Welfare Committee will start a fierce struggle with the residents of the area. The entire responsibility of which will be the Power Com officials and the Punjab Government.
