Nawanshahr:- Teacher's Day was celebrated at Red Cross Narsha Mukti Kendra Nawanshahr. Which was chaired by Sardar Chaman Singh (Project Director). On this occasion, he said in his address speech that today is celebrated as Teacher's Day in the whole country. In the country, this day is celebrated on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the first vice president and second president of India. This year's theme is “Empowering Educators for a Sustainable Future”.

He said that education plays an important role in being successful in life. Parents are the ones who give birth in life, but teachers are the ones who tell the real way to live. On this occasion, Sardar Parvinder Singh Rana (Principal Doaba Sikh National School Nawanshahr) said that teachers play an important role in our lives, that is why teachers have been given a status above God. Teachers teach us the art of living life as well as giving us knowledge. They teach to fight the challenges in life and inspire others to build a better future. In the end, he said that we should be very careful about children, because children are like a blank page. They have no knowledge of good and bad people in the society Due to which sometimes children fall into bad habits and deviate from their principles. On this occasion, Sardar Jaspal Singh Gidda (Retired Principal, ITI, Nawanshahr) said that on the occasion of Teacher's Day, teachers who have contributed significantly in raising the standard of education are also honored.
Only a teacher is such a person who feels happy to see others reach high positions along with making them a good person through education. The profession of a teacher is better, superior and respectable than all other jobs in the world. He said that governments should make efforts to improve the level of education, so that no child can remain indifferent to education due to economic hardship because students are the ones who create a good society in the future. On this occasion, Des Raj Bali (charity coordination member) presented a song dedicated to Teacher's Day, in which he has endowed the school as a temple. Finally, Sardar Amarjit Singh Khalsa (teacher) also presented his views and said that it is the teacher who becomes the role model for the child after the parents. Teachers make what they do a part of their lives.
