
Organized training course for Anganwadi workers by PAU Krishi Vigyan Kendra
Patiala, July 30 - A one-day training course on fruit and vegetable maintenance was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana, Patiala. In which about 52 Anganwadi workers from different villages of Patiala district such as Dhanora, Dauda, ??Harigarh, Naora, Sukhewal etc. participated.
Patiala, July 30 - A one-day training course on fruit and vegetable maintenance was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana, Patiala. In which about 52 Anganwadi workers from different villages of Patiala district such as Dhanora, Dauda, ??Harigarh, Naora, Sukhewal etc. participated.
This training course was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur, Incharge, KVK, Patiala. Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur warmly welcomed the participating students and informed about the activities of KVK. Encouraging the students, they also made them aware about the use of coarse grains.
Course Coordinator Dr Rajni Goyal, Professor (Food Sciences) imparted training on processing, packaging and labeling of fruits and vegetables. During the course, the students learned how to prepare their own Marmalade, RTS and Sukash etc. Dr Rachna Singla, Professor (Horticulture) explained about home garden and cultivation of fruit trees. On this occasion, fruit trees were also distributed to the students to plant in their respective villages.
