Voter awareness program conducted in Civil Surgeon office under sweep activities

Patiala, April 2 - As per the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab and the District Election Officer, a voter awareness program was organized at the IDSP Wing of the Civil Surgeon Office, Patiala. In which District Demologist Dr. Divjot Singh informed the Multi Purpose Health Supervisors from different Blocks / Health Institutions about voter helpline and toll free number 1950, new voter registration, deletion of vote, change of residence, entries in existing voter list.

Patiala, April 2 - As per the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab and the District Election Officer, a voter awareness program was organized at the IDSP Wing of the Civil Surgeon Office, Patiala. In which District Demologist Dr. Divjot Singh informed the Multi Purpose Health Supervisors from different Blocks / Health Institutions about voter helpline and toll free number 1950, new voter registration, deletion of vote, change of residence, entries in existing voter list. The amendment, replacement of EPIC, facility to be given to PWD voters was also explained. Bhag Singh, Deputy Mass Media Officer, Nodal Officer of the Voter Awareness Forum of the Civil Surgeon Office, asked to ensure 100 voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He said that India is a democratic country In which every voter has the right to form the government by choosing the candidate of his choice All voters must fulfill their duty to vote The right to vote should be exercised without greed, caste or discrimination. He said that this time an effort should be made to raise awareness from house to house through all the field staff and Asha workers to cross the vote poll percentage from 70 percent. On this occasion, District Epidemiologist Dr Sumeet Singh, Deputy Mass Media Officer Jasjit Kaur, Assistant Malaria Officer Malkit Singh and Gurjant Singh were present.
