Nawanshahr - Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa paid tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his martyrdom day at Khatkar Kalan. He said that this day reminds us of the great sacrifice made by the true offspring of Mother Earth. He said that the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev will always motivate us to stand against injustice, oppression and oppression. He said that it is our moral duty to wage war against all the evils spread in the society. The Deputy Commissioner said that the youth should contribute to the social welfare works in order to fulfill the dreams shared by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and to create a society with communal harmony. He said that these young heroes of the freedom movement freed the country from the yoke of foreign imperialism by sacrificing their lives at a young age. He said that following the path shown by this great son of mother earth, we should cooperate to create a prosperous society. He invited people to come forward to create the society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh's dreams. He said that our great martyrs will leave no stone unturned to build a society with happy dreams and our efforts will continue till these dreams are realized. Remembering the great martyrs, he said that the sacrifices made by the martyrs in the freedom struggle can never be forgotten and he also inspired the youth to work diligently for the country. He said that we have been able to vote only because of the sacrifices made by the martyrs. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh visited the samad of martyr's father Kishan Singh and paid homage. They also offered floral tributes at the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
