Chandigarh: 16th March, 2024:- The Electrical Engineering Department at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, hosted an enlightening industrial expert talk recently, as part of PEC's Industry-Academia Expert Lecture Week. Dr. Shimi S.L, the event coordinator, warmly introduced the esteemed expert, Dr. Vineetha Ravindran, Technical Project Lead for the next-generation Traton inverter at Scania Group, Sweden.
Dr. Vineetha Ravindran engaged the faculty and students with her presentation titled "Way towards Sustainable Transport Solutions." She shed light on the cutting-edge developments in electric vehicles, particularly focusing on Silicon Carbide-based inverters and motor drive technologies for the forthcoming generation of electric vehicles.
The coordination of this event was skillfully managed by Dr. Rintu Khanna, Dr. Loveleen Kaur, and Dr. Shimi S.L from the Electrical Engineering Department. The talk adopted a hybrid format, attracting approximately 93 online participants from PEC and nearby institutes.
