CDGC begins 'Kaushal Tatparta' Pre-Placement Training 2024

Chandigarh: 16th March, 2024:- Career Development and Guidance Centre (CDGC), PEC organized its annual three-day 'Kaushal Tatparta' Pre-Placement Training 2024 commencing on 16thMarch, 2024 for B.Tech. 2nd year and M.Tech. 1st year students of PEC. Pre Placement Training is a premier flagship event of CDGC which is organised yearly for the past ten years or more with an aim to bridge the gap between industrial requirements and skills of students.

Pre Placement Training is a premier flagship event of CDGC which is organised yearly for the past ten years or more with an aim to bridge the gap between industrial requirements and skills of students. 
The Inaugural ceremony commenced with Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting ceremony in the presence of Guest of Honour - Dr. Sachin Gulati (Head of India Campus Recruitment, M/s American Express), Dr. Poonam Saini (Prof. In-charge, CDGC), Dr Ankit Yadav (Coordinator, CDGC), Dr. Jaskirat Kaur (Coordinator, CDGC), Col. R.M. Joshi (Registrar, PEC and Mr. Hirdesh Madan (Cofounder and Director, HitBullsEye). Dean Faculty Affairs, Dean Students Affairs & Dean Academic Affairs also graced the inaugural ceremony with their auspicious presence as Distinguished guests of the event. 
Thereafter, Dr. Jaskirat Kaur (Coordinator, CDGC), welcomed all the dignitaries and participants present in the event and shed light on the integral role of CDGC in helping students secure the best internships and placements. Prof. Vasundhara Singh, Dean Faculty Affairs, PEC congratulated CDGC for its successful efforts in improving the placements at PEC and also commended the organizing team for their exponential efforts in planning the event. 
The Guest of Honor- Dr. Sachin Gulati (Head of India Campus Recruitment, M/s American Express) introduced himself and shared his insights about the mantras of success and work culture in the corporate world. The audience found the presentation to be quite enlightening and informative. The students learned about the various spheres of education, coaching, and entrepreneurship from the second speaker, Hirdesh Madan, Co-Founder of Hitbullseye. The session lifted the spirits of the students and encouraged them to discover new horizons. 
Dr. Anoop Inder Kaur, a licensed clinical psychologist, conducted the third session. She imparted her priceless knowledge on mental health and offered doable methods for improving wellbeing. Following that, HR leader Nimrata Randhawa Kapoor spoke to the students and gave her perspective on "Resume Building and Interviewing." She provided practical strategies for crafting effective resumes and mastering job interviews. The session was highly informative and engaging. In his speech, Mr. Anshul Bhanwala, Student Head, CDGC, informed the audience of the guidelines governing the hiring procedure for the internship and placement cycle. Avinash Kaur, a learning and development specialist, led the last class of the day and helped the students get ready for "Case Study and Guesstimates." She offered helpful methods and advice on how to deal with these difficult interview situations. 
Attendees left the session with useful knowledge and increased confidence in their ability to handle case studies and guessing questions. All the sessions were very enlightening and interactive and inspired the students to pursue their passions and goals with greater clarity, confidence, and motivation.
