Nawanshahr - The 647th Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj was celebrated with great reverence by the management committee of Shri Guru Ravidas Gurdwara Sahib with the support of all Gram Panchayats, expatriate Indians and town residents at nearby village Babeli.
After enjoying the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib in the morning, prayers were offered for the good of all. Later, in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the group of Giani Jarnail Singh Bains of village Lallian entertained the assembled Sangat by reciting Guru Itishas Sarvan through dhadi times. The organizers congratulated the entire congregation on the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Maharaj and encouraged them to follow the teachings of Maharaj. During the event, dignitaries, servants and associates were honored by wearing Guru Bakshish Siropao. Service of tea pakodas and Guru ka langar were served in abundance. At night, the Gurdwara Sahib was decorated with colorful lights. On this occasion, a large number of devotees of the area bowed down and received the blessings of Guru Ghar.
