While attending the 11th Annual Journalist Conference organized by Charddikala Time TV Chairman 'Padma Shri' Jagjit Singh Dardi today at Patiala, Cabinet Ministers Dr. Balbir Singh and Chetan Singh Jaudamajra came from other states of the country including Punjab, Haryana and Delhi associated with Charddikala institution. The journalists were also honored for their outstanding contribution in the field of journalism.
Speaking on the occasion, Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that a few blackmailing people have spoiled the image of journalism but good media is the fourth pillar of democracy and such journalists should support Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann so that The state can be made Rangla Punjab. Cabinet Minister Jauda Majra, expressing concern over the social evils and the youth falling into the mire of drugs, including the youth going abroad, invited the media to do meaningful work in this regard so that they work day and night for our Punjab. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the media acts as a mirror for the society and the big people, but in today's era, the journalism of old is no more and investigative journalism is also disappearing. Therefore, if the media looks at itself daily to play its constructive role, social evils including drugs can be eradicated.
Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, the Punjab government has launched Aam Aadmi Clinic, CM's Yogshala and hospitals to provide better health services to the people of the state and to start a relief scheme for accident victims.
