Crèche facility started at the new district and session court complex

Hoshiarpur - Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge and Hoshiarpur Sessions Division Administrative Judge Alok Jain today inaugurated the crèche facility in the new District and Sessions Court Complex. On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge Dilbagh Singh Johal, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, SSP Surendra Lamba, District Bar Association President Ranjit Kumar and all judicial officers were also present.

On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge Dilbagh Singh Johal, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, SSP Surendra Lamba, District Bar Association President Ranjit Kumar and all judicial officers were also present.
Earlier, when the Administrative Judge of Hoshiarpur Sessions Division Alok Jain reached the complex, he was given a guard of honor by a contingent of Punjab Police. The court complex will have a new facility with a new crèche facility/children's day care centre, which can accommodate a maximum of 25 children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years. On this occasion, Justice Alok Jain said that continuous efforts should be made to maintain the provision of crèches and ensure that these crèches run well and meet the needs of children. Appreciating the efforts of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority, he said that crèche facility in the court complex will keep children away from court proceedings. District and Sessions Judge Dilbagh Singh Johal said that children of court staff, lawyers, litigants and judicial officers can also benefit from the crèche facility. He said that the crèche has trained staff, child-friendly furniture, toys, first aid kit and beds. He said that the crèche will provide services from 10 am to 5 pm on working days. CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Aparajita Joshi said that this crèche has been created under the Maternity Benefit Act 1961, under which every establishment having 50 or more employees must have crèche facility.
