SAS Nagar January 9 - Garbage has been strewn on the side of the road for the last several days outside the garbage house built on the side of the road going along Mohali village in local phase 1. This garbage lying here for many days has started rotting Due to which a heavy stench rises here and the people passing through here have to be badly disturbed.

Stray animals feed on this garbage scattered on the side of the road Due to which the waste gets scattered on the road and gets stuck in the coming vehicles. This garbage is full of plastic envelopes which the animals put in their mouths and these envelopes get stuck in their stomachs and cause death of the animals.

Rakesh Kumar Rinku, president of Phase 1 Guru Nanak Market, said that this garbage lying there for the past several days could cause a disease to spread and it should be removed from here immediately. He said that this garbage emits a heavy stench due to which people are facing a lot of trouble.

He said that this dirt lying in this place is thrown by street people and the municipal corporation should remove this garbage from here immediately and this place should be cleaned and medicine should be sprayed here.

When contacted in this regard, Municipal Corporation Sanitary Inspector Jagroop said that he will clean this place as soon as possible.
