Nawan Shahr - A special meeting of Upkar Coordination Society was held at Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School under the chairmanship of Mr. Jaspal Singh Gidda President. Narinder Singh Bharata Secretary proposed to share New Year's greetings that like every year, this year also the organizations for giving lohari to new born daughters "Eknoor Sway Seva Sanstha Pathalawa" and "Pyara Singh Trlok" Singh Gidda Welfare Society Sujon” programs that have been invited to participate actively in them.
This proposal was unanimously approved. Upkar Society members will depart from BDC by special vehicle. In these lohris, special gifts, warm blankets, riuris for families, peanuts etc. are distributed by Ek Noor organization for new born girls. An omen of fifty one hundred rupees is also found at village Sujon.
            Through another resolution, it was decided to organize awareness projects through seminars, elocution competitions, spot painting competitions, folk festivals, cultural programs and dramas against the social evils of drugs and the mentality of killing the unborn girl before birth. .
