Nawanshahr - District Magistrate Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa using the powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act-2 of 1974) in the district to perform dangerous stunts with tractors and related implements within the limits of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Banning order has been issued.
  The District Magistrate said that Deputy Secretary Punjab Government Home Affairs and Justice Department (Home-5 Branch) has written through letter No. Home-5/Special/2023/1 Chandigarh dated 30.10.2023 that some incidents have happened in the state in the past. In which youths have suffered serious injuries and one youth has died during the dangerous performance/stunt involving tractors and related implements. Therefore, orders have been issued to ban dangerous performances/stunts of tractors and related implements. This order will remain in force till February 29, 2024.
