He said that PCOS is not a disease, but a condition that can present itself in different ways. Younger women may suffer from irregular periods, experience hirsutism (unwanted male-pattern hair growth) and obesity, while older women may experience infertility, risk of miscarriage and more, they said. can cause
Dr. Vandana said that women with PCOS are at higher risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health complications. He said that PCOS is a lifelong health condition but one can control it with proper diet and ideal body weight.
