RTO started a campaign to put radium reflector tape bands around the necks of stray animals.

Hoshiarpur - In view of the advisory issued by Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal regarding cold wave and fog, RTO Ravinder Singh Gill in collaboration with NGO 'Voiceless Second Inning Home' today put radium reflector tapes around the necks of stray cattle at Hoshiarpur. The campaign was launched, so that the animals can be seen during fog and at night by flashing the tape and save precious lives by preventing road accidents.

The campaign was launched, so that the animals can be seen during fog and at night by flashing the tape and save precious lives by preventing road accidents.
  RTO Ravinder Singh Gill said on this occasion that Radicum reflector tape bands will be found in the necks of about 400 animals during this campaign.
He also appealed to the motorists to keep the speed of their vehicles low during the fog and keep the lights on low-beam, so that the vehicles coming in front can be seen quickly and the vehicles coming from a distance can see the light on the road. He said that it should be ensured to always use the indicators of the vehicle during fog and always pay attention to the road by not using mobile and any other equipment while driving the vehicle. He said that in order to avoid accidents, the windows of the vehicle should always be kept open and the necessary distance between the vehicles should be ensured, so that loss of life and property can be avoided. Meanwhile, apart from the representatives of 'Voiceless Second Inning Home', senior assistant Kuldeep Singh, junior assistant Ravinder Sharma and others were present.
