Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Gimpa today visited the Government Cattle Pound at village Falahi along with Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal and Social Worker Seth Rohtash Jain and took stock of the arrangement. He said that while the Punjab government is committed to running the Cattle Pound in a proper manner, there is a huge contribution from the donors.

Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Gimpa today visited the Government Cattle Pound at village Falahi along with Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal and Social Worker Seth Rohtash Jain and took stock of the arrangement. He said that while the Punjab government is committed to running the Cattle Pound in a proper manner, there is a huge contribution from the donors.
He said that the donors have made every possible contribution to meet every need here and they hope that this order will continue in the future. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister also planted a plant in the Cattle Pound and got to know the requirements here. He said that with the support of donors, many plans are being worked on to change the face of cattle pound and to take care of the cattle coming here and meaningful efforts will be made in this direction in the future. He said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for us that the annual expenditure coming in this cattle pound is completed at the level of donors, institutions, societies, NGOs. Meanwhile, he also sought suggestions from the village panchayat members and others regarding the operation of the cattle pound in a more advanced manner. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department to ensure the tagging of the animals. He said that sick and injured animals are taken on priority basis in this government cattle pound located in Falahi. He said that it is a matter of great joy that the Cattle Pound is being operated in a very good manner with the support of the people. Meanwhile, he appreciated the support given to Cattle Pound by social organizations and donors. He appealed to the herdsmen not to leave their animals unattended on the roads as they often lead to accidents. Meanwhile, apart from Nodal Officer Government Cattle Pound Welfare Dr. Manmohan Singh Dardi, Lakshmi Narayan and other dignitaries were also present.
