Nawanshahr - Today on 28/12/2023 under the leadership of Mr. Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon (Retd. I.A.S.) Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Barach Chandigarh, Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr Chhote Sahibjade and Mata Gujri ji  And the Martyrdom Day dedicated to the martyrdom of other Singhs was celebrated.
On this occasion, Bhai Manjit Singh Katha Vachak (Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Nawanshahr) shed light on the life of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the entire family keeping the occasion of martyrdom as the main focus. He informed the congregation about this martyrdom with a story idea. After this, they chanted the six steps of Anand Sahib. Kadhara Prasad was served in the Sangat. On this occasion, Jaswinder Kaur (Councillor) sang Shabad remembering Chote Sahibjade and Mata Gujriji. In the end, Project Director Chaman Singh gave an address and said that we should bring guidance in our lives by remembering those martyrs. Their teachings should be followed, so that we can face the troubles that come in our life bravely, and not consume wrong things. These days of martyrdom were also remembered in the streets, villages and homes. The youth should be connected with their history so that the youth does not fall into wrong association.
On this occasion, a free medical check up and medicine camp was organized at the center with the support of Indian Council of Social Welfare Nawanshahr. Dr Navditta Bharat (Psychiatrist) Bharat Hospital Nawanshahr and Dr Hardev Singh (Medical Officer) Nawanshahr checked up the patients' fever, sugar test, cough cold, blood pressure, etc. and medicines were also given to the needy patients. A total of 52 people were checked during the camp. Finally, the project director thanked the dignitaries who came from outside.
