
Loan facility up to Rs 20 lakh at one percent interest under Dr YS Parmar Student Loan Scheme - ADC
Una, December 22 - In Himachal Pradesh, with the aim that students belonging to poor families should not be deprived of higher professional education due to lack of funds, Dr. YS Parmar Student Loan Scheme has been started by the Himachal Pradesh Government. Under this scheme, students whose annual family income is up to Rs 4 lakh and who want to hire a highly professional teacher of any level can avail the benefit of this scheme. This information was given by ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar during the meeting organized in this regard.
Una, December 22 - In Himachal Pradesh, with the aim that students belonging to poor families should not be deprived of higher professional education due to lack of funds, Dr. YS Parmar Student Loan Scheme has been started by the Himachal Pradesh Government. Under this scheme, students whose annual family income is up to Rs 4 lakh and who want to hire a highly professional teacher of any level can avail the benefit of this scheme. This information was given by ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar during the meeting organized in this regard.
Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that according to the conditions set by the state government for the scheme, the student should be a native of Himachal Pradesh and it is mandatory for him to have minimum 60 percent marks in the eligible educational qualification. Apart from ITI, Diploma or Degree in engineering subjects, the benefit of the scheme can also be availed for studying Medical, Management, Paramedical, Pharmacy, Nursing and Advocacy and also for studying PhD. He said that this scheme, recently launched by the Himachal Pradesh government, is available from the year 2023-24 only for the students studying in India and students already studying in related subjects will also be eligible for this scheme. He said that a total of 20 applications have been received so far under Dr. YS Parmar Student Loan Scheme in Una district which are pending due to incomplete documents. He instructed the Education Department officials to complete the application process by informing all the applicants regarding the pending cases. ADC Una has requested all the eligible students of the district to take maximum benefit of this scheme for pursuing higher education.
