Giving information in this regard, the coordinator of the front, Kuldeep Singh Runka, said that in the meeting held in two rounds with the education minister, it was decided to reject the national education policy-2020 in favor of privatization and centralization and make a new education policy of Punjab. Considering the important demand of the Front to make senior officers of the Director of Education Department, information was given to appoint Director Academic Secondary Education, Elementary Education and SCERT from the Department. Grants will be released to 242 schools by canceling the Centre's PM Shri School Scheme. A meeting will be held with the Education Secretary in the first week of January to cancel the anti-teacher rules made since 2018 during the time of Education Secretary Krishna Kumar. There was a demand for complete cancellation of police cases and remaining victimizations during the conflicts during the previous governments.
            It was demanded to regularize all kinds of raw teachers in the entire grade, to regularize 7654 living teachers, to regularize ODL teachers, to bring NSQF teachers to the department instead of companies. It was decided to increase the salary of the poor teachers living from the salary increase. In order to improve education, it was demanded to appoint class-wise teachers in primary schools, subject-wise teachers in upper primary schools and non-teaching staff including grade four. The demand to correct the seniority lists and make the promotions twice a year was strongly raised, on which the Education Minister assured to take immediate action.
            In 2018, all the left out teachers were asked to be promoted in time for promotions in Master Cadre from ETT. It was agreed to implement the decision to send back 228 PTIs sent to the block primary education offices to middle schools.             Strongly opposed to teaching through projects, there was a serious discussion about mission capability and it was suggested to impart basic knowledge to the students in April and May through the traditional administrative structure of the department. To improve the quality of education through projects instead of making education a mere decoration of data, two teachers for pre-primary classes, restoring 1904 posts of Head Teacher in each Primary School, Data Entry Operator in Center School, Head Master in Middle School, Sr. A demand was made for giving the post of Vice Principal in the secondary school. Regarding the demand to start the recruitment process 6 months before the post becomes vacant by making firm recruitment rules to fill the vacant posts, the Education Minister said that the recruitment process will be started accordingly after collecting the information of the vacant posts in the period of 4-5 years. Agreed to the demand to open the merit-based recruitment of the ACT course. He assured to try to solve the issue by discussing with the Election Commission and administrative officials on the demand to stop taking all kinds of non-academic work from the teachers. Agreed to release seniority of 8886 teachers from 01-04-2018 and count past service as vacation. Information was given to send the case to FD for approval to pay salary to 4161 teachers from the date of attendance from 9-5-2023, due to delay due to the case of physical education teachers being in court, music teachers were informed to attend soon.
          It was informed that the file of shifting of computer teachers in the department has been sent to the Finance Department for approval and it was assured that efforts will be made to regularize the staff of meritorious schools. The need to bring Adarsh schools under the department instead of contractors was emphasized. The changes made in the past were decided to be implemented after the availability of the teacher.
         During the time of Education Secretary Krishna Kumar, it was agreed to cancel the charge sheets and notices issued to the office workers and officials without the struggling teachers. An assurance was given to restore the reduced status of Government High School Bungal district Pathankot and cancel the victimization of in-charge Rajesh Kumar. Education Secretary has been asked to sympathetically consider the case of 180 ETT teachers.
