He asked the residents of the district to complete the arrangements for the maintenance of their livestock, crops and other items from the very beginning. He said that children and the elderly should take special care during these days and should go out of the house only as needed.
The Deputy Commissioner advised on the do's and don'ts during the cold wave in the winter season and said to use thick clothes to avoid the cold. Apart from this, keep the doors and windows of the house well closed, so that the cold wave cannot enter the house. He said that in case of symptoms of flu, runny nose or other diseases, seek medical help first.
The Deputy Commissioner said that motorists should keep their vehicle speed low during fog. Motorists should keep their vehicle lights on low beam, so that oncoming vehicles can be seen quickly and oncoming vehicles can see the light on the road. He said that it should be ensured to always use the vehicle's indicator during fog. He said that one should not use mobile and any other equipment while driving the vehicle but should always pay attention to the road. He said that due to the low visibility of the vehicles coming from the front, one should take care of the surrounding noise while driving the vehicle, so that there is no accident during the fog. He said that during fog, the vehicle should follow the lane on the road and avoid overtaking the vehicle.
Komal Mittal, advising to avoid road accidents, said that the windows of your vehicle should always be kept clean and the distance between the vehicles should be ensured, so as to avoid loss of life and property. He said that during the cold wave, cattle need more fodder than usual for strength. Cattle shelters should be covered on all sides, so that air cannot enter from any side. Animals can be protected from cold by providing complete feed, use of good quality fodder, access to sunlight in animal sheds and by laying straw under the animals and using other necessary means.
