Organized 'Natural Farming' training at village Alowal by Krishi Vigyan Kendra

Nawanshahr - Krishi Science Center Langroa organized a two-day training on 'Natural Farming' at village Alowal recently, in which 40 farmers and farmer wives participated.

Nawanshahr - Krishi Science Center Langroa organized a two-day training on 'Natural Farming' at village Alowal recently, in which 40 farmers and farmer wives participated.
On the first day of the training, Demonstrator (Plant Science) Renu Bala extended a warm welcome to the farmer men and women from Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He informed the students about the activities related to natural farming at KVK. Renu Bala also told about the various vocational training courses being organized by KVK and also encouraged them to take up agricultural support businesses. Along with this, he also shed light on the smooth running of Self Help Groups.
During the training, Assistant Professor (Vegetable Science) Dr Aarti Verma enlightened the farmers and women farmers about the importance of 'Natural Farming' in today's times. He said that KVK is organizing awareness camps, trainings and exhibitions related to natural farming in the district. Dr Aarti also shared information with the farmers about the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables produced through natural farming and also told about the successful cultivation of winter vegetables and mushrooms.
On the second day of the training, Dr. Baljit Singh, Assistant Professor (Entomology) of Krishi Science Center, explained the important points and aspects of natural farming. He also shared information about pest and disease control through natural methods and taught the trainees about crop management. Also showed the method of making natural antiseptic medicines like Jiva Amrit, Bees Amrit, and Brahm Astra to protect against diseases.
On this occasion, agricultural literature of Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana and onion factory were also provided to the trainees. Lastly, Dr. Baljit Singh thanked Sheela Devi, Sarpanch of village Alowal and Krishi Sakhi, Seema Devi for their support in organizing this training.
