Inaugurating the 'Punjabi University Inter-Regional Youth and People's Fair' here today, Speaker Sandhawan said that every youth must participate in active politics in order to fulfill the dream of making Punjab a Rangla Punjab that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has dreamed of
Speaker Sandhawan referred to the 52 commandments given by Guru Gobind Singh to the Sikhs and said that every Punjabi youth should actively participate in active politics to counter the conspiracies against Punjab because if you don't do it, someone else will take your place. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has taken the arm of this university to make it financially viable.
Kultar Singh Sandhwan while appreciating the performance of bhangra by the youth during the youth fair, said that while the identity of Punjab is sacrifices and a living heart, bhangra is also our unique identity. Exhorting the youth to stay away from drugs and keep this bhangra fun forever, the speaker said that only the youth can fulfill the dream of making our Punjab a bright Punjab by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan.
Speaker Sandhavan gave his example and said that he has achieved everything by serving the people, so the youth can go to any part of the world and do any work but always keep the service of the people first. Force will not stop their progress. He also announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh from his discretionary quota to Punjabi University for the Utari Bharat Yuvak Mela.
Calling upon the youth to contribute to prevent stubble burning, Speaker Sandhavan said that farmers who do not burn stubble are happy, so encourage young farmers not to burn stubble. Speaker Sandhavan said that the time has come that we have to stop setting fire to stubble following the message of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji to conserve wind, water and earth.
Before this ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina invited the youth to become toppers in academics, sports and their chosen field with the same enthusiasm with which the youth are enjoying this regional youth fair and not to let their enthusiasm fade.
Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. While welcoming Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan and other guests, Arvind outlined the inter-regional youth and folk fair and said that Punjabi University is making progress in every field. He also expressed special thanks to the Chief Minister and the state government for the contribution made by the Punjab government to financially support Punjabi University under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
