This demand was made during a meeting held at Sector 114 of Ansal under the chairmanship of the president of the organization Mr. Rajwinder Singh Sarau. Representatives of 19 organizations from different private sectors participated in the meeting.

The spokesperson of the organization said that during the meeting, various problems faced by the residents of the private sector were discussed in detail. It was said in the meeting that due to the poor performance of Gamada, the common people are having to bear the consequences of the builders' mistakes. The leaders said that the decision taken by GAMADA to close the registrations of the defaulting builders' sectors of EDC does not cause any loss to the builders, but the work of common people is affected. On this occasion, the council leaders demanded from the top officials of GAMADA that instead of taking anti-people decisions, GAMADA should cancel the papara exemption given to these builders for a long time so that the builders are forced to work properly. He said that in exchange of the EDC that Gamada has received from private sector builders, no development has been done in these sectors, due to which these sectors could not be connected with Chandigarh, Mohali city.

The president of the council, Rajwinder Singh, demanded a high-level inquiry from the top officials of GAMADA about the rate at which the builders have collected EDC and at which rate they have deposited it with GAMADA. They also demanded that instructions be issued to these builders to fully complete their projects within the time frame. He said that the builders could not purchase the lands in these sectors and handed them over to the builders by acquiring them and those builders who do not complete their projects on time or are defaulters for any reason should not be given any other new project in Punjab. should not be approved.

During the meeting, it was demanded from the government that these sectors should be included in the municipal corporation to save the residents of these sectors from the looting done jointly by GAMADA and builders. It was decided in the meeting that written demand letters will be given to the top officials of GAMADA and the Punjab government in this regard soon and if the demands are not met, a struggle will be launched against GAMADA.
