SAS Nagar, October 16- Mass marriage of needy girls by Mohali Development and Welfare Association (Regd.) and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports and Welfare Club Mohali under the patronage of Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh and leadership of Association President Phoolraj Singh (State Awardee) got it done.
Shri Fulram Singh said that on this occasion, Anandkaraz of 11 needy girls was organized at Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Darbar Sahib located in Sector 90-91, while all the rituals of Nikah of a couple were completed.
He told that out of the 12 girls who have been married by the organization, there is one girl whose parents are no longer in this world and the father of one boy and the other girl have also said goodbye to this world.
On this occasion, before the Anandkaraj ceremony of all the couples, all the office bearers and workers of Mohali Development and Welfare Association (Regd.) and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports and Welfare Club Mohali welcomed the Baraat with full enthusiasm. On this occasion, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh attended the wedding ceremony to bless the couple.
Assembly constituency MLA Shri Kulwant Singh said on this occasion that state award winner and former councilor S. Under the leadership of Phoolraj Singh, along with social service, mass marriages of needy children have been organized for a long time. He said that this also inspires other organizations.
