SAS Nagar, October 16 - Senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia has said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is not sensitive on the SYL issue and the light level statements he is making on this issue is an attack on the dignity of the post of Chief Minister.
Speaking to reporters today after appearing in Mohali court in the NDPS case after getting regular bail, Majithia said that the issue of SYL is very sensitive but the attitude of the Chief Minister on this issue is completely irresponsible. He said that the Chief Minister should explain why Punjab's side was not properly presented in the Supreme Court in this matter. He said that the reality is that Bhagwant Mann is carrying out a conspiracy to give Punjab's water to Haryana at the behest of Kejriwal and this debate has been created to divert people's attention.
He said that Shiromani Akali Dal had made it clear on the very first day that no team from the Center will be allowed to come to Punjab and the Akali Dal stands against SYL. He said that the double face of BJP has also been exposed on this issue. He said that Akali Dal is going to the villages to make people aware and the central teams will be strongly opposed.
Commenting on the withdrawal of Congress leaders from BJP, Shri. Majithia said that the condition of BJP itself has become thin and the former ministers and other Congressmen whom he had included in BJP have all returned one by one and according to his information those who are left will also join him on 20th. Will return to the rally.
He said that BJP neither has any base left nor does it seem to exist.
Meanwhile, while hearing the case, Mohali Court has postponed the next date of the case till January 29, 2024.
