
German delegation visited Paragon Senior Secondary School and screened films under 'Science Film Festival' to create 'scientific awareness' among students.
SAS Nagar, October 16 - A German delegation from Goethe Institute, Germany, New Delhi visited Paragon Senior Secondary School, Local Sector 71. On this occasion, South Asia Project Head of School Partners for the Future Initiative (PASOC) Timothy Strack and Project Manager Tanvi Duggal, who visited the school, also visited the German language classroom built in the school and spoke in German to boost the morale of the students.

On this occasion, Neha Dara, head of the Roundglass organization associated with Goethe-Institute's science film festival, school director Iqbal Singh Shergill, principal Jasmeet Kaur and vice-principal Amarpal Kaur were also present. On this occasion, the films 'No Water No Villages', 'Bioacoustics Jungle Babblers with Manzri Jain' and 'Bioacoustics A Series by Roundglass Sustain' were shown to the students as part of the Science Film Festival. A cultural program was also presented by the students on this occasion.
Under this programme, the Goethe Institute is promoting scientific literacy internationally from 1 October to 20 December in collaboration with regional partners to raise awareness of current scientific, technological and environmental issues.
During his welcome address on the occasion, School Director Iqbal Singh Shergill said that the PASCH program (sponsored by the Federal Republic of Germany) has been used by Paragon School since 2008 to teach German to its students from class 5 onwards.
Principal of the school Jasmeet Kaur said that the school enthusiastically participates in all the initiatives taken by the Goethe Institute to promote the German language. On this occasion, an agreement was also signed to further strengthen the partnership between Pasch and Paragon School.
