Patiala: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal reached Kapuri village near Ghanour and told the farmers that the SYL lands are in your name and they should start farming here. Because during the Akali Dal government, along with the names of the farmers concerned, the lands that came under SYL, the gardavaris and encroachments have also been registered in Fard.
Badal said that our elders from Kapuri village had fought against SYL and today we have come again to announce an all-out fight against it. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that only Shiromani Akali Dal has been opposing SYL to save the water of Punjab, if Akali Dal did it with opposition, other parties would have conveyed the water of Punjab to Haryana. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that even if the court orders or the Prime Minister sends the army, the Akali Dal will not let the water out of Punjab. Badal appealed to the people present that the survey teams should not be allowed to set foot in Punjab and strongly oppose it. The Akali Dal will go to any lengths in this fight. Badal said that in 1955, by giving half of the water of Punjab to Rajasthan without permission, they pushed our state, now the Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to send the water of the state to other states by weakening this issue by not taking the right side of Punjab.
