Bathinda, October 4- The court here has rejected the anticipatory bail application filed by BJP leader and former finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal.
During the argument that lasted for about an hour in the court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, the interesting aspect was that the complainant and BJP district president Sarup Chand Singla had also raised his lawyer to cancel the bail application of Manpreet Badal. The former minister's bail application was strongly opposed. Along with this, public prosecutor Amarjit Syal, appearing for Vigilance, also opposed the bail application of Manpreet Badal, claiming that he had caused financial loss in the purchase of plants while he was a minister and therefore he should be detained and questioned.
