Hoshiarpur - Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana visited SDH Dasuha, SDH Mukerian and Community Health Center Bhol Kalota to take stock of the health facilities being provided in the health institutions. They specially reviewed the stock of medicines and cleanliness and reviewed the services provided under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme.
Bhupinder Singh was also present with him on this occasion. Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana first checked the availability of essential medicines for the patients under government supply at SDH Dasuha and asked to provide the medical test reports of the patients on time so that the patients do not face any kind of inconvenience. He also reviewed the Jan Aushadhi Kendra available in the hospital itself and said that it should be ensured that only those non-EDL medicines are available in the Jan Aushadhi Kendra which are not available in the government supply.
Later they also inspected SDH Mukeri and CHC Bhol Kalota. He specially reviewed the stock and cleanliness of all life saving medicines and issued instructions to follow norms for disposal of bio medical waste.
He reviewed the health services provided under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme and found that only 20 to 30 percent of the patients are availing the benefits under this scheme. He asked the senior medical officers to take appropriate measures related to Ayushman Yojana so that 70 percent of the patients admitted to the hospitals are covered under it and free and better services are provided to the patients. He said that the health department is committed to providing quality health facilities to the people.
