He expressed these views in the presence of personalities associated with art and literature on the occasion of assuming his post. He said that the contribution of the language department has definitely been in improving our talent Therefore, it is our duty to work together for its betterment'. He emphasized that more allocations will be required from the state government for the flourishing of this department and the pending works. He urged his officers to work together and remain free from factionalism.
PSPCL Chairman Baldev Singh Saran said that the Tasha department has now got a writer, poet, cartoonist and also a former engineer of the electricity board. Punjab Kala Parishad Chairman Swaranjit Swai said that seeing the importance of the departments, the Punjab government has made appointments, its effect will be seen for a long time. Prof. Amarjit Singh Grewal also spoke on this occasion, apart from Dr. Sarabjit Singh, president of Punjabi Sahitya Akademi Ludhiana. Prof. Kripal Singh Kazak and many other writers and scholars were present in the event.
