Garhshankar, June 29 - Due to the lax functioning of the School Education Department and its Education Minister of the AAP government, which gives priority to education, and the failure to fulfill the promises made in several meetings with the DTF in April-May 2024, the Democratic Teachers The Front (DTF) has decided to adopt the struggling tree again. Giving information about this decision, DTF Punjab State President Vikram Dev Singh, General Secretary Mukesh Kumar and Finance Secretary Ashwani Awasthi said that instead of resolving the issues of teachers in time in its two-year tenure, the current government is doing the opposite. The demands have been crushed into dust.

In protest against this, on June 30 at 11 am, a large convoy of more than 100 state and district leaders will march towards the Jalandhar residence of the Chief Minister carrying the flags of the organization and give a "protest letter" to the Chief Minister. And comrade Narendra Bhandari and comrade Ravindra Kamboj, ODL teachers who are yet to be regularized, while immediate resolution of departmental matters of regularization orders of 13 Hindi teachers out of 7654 withheld and immediate exemplary action on Jakhwali case will be demanded.

State Vice Presidents of DTF Jagpal Bangi, Rajiv Barnala, Gurpiyar Kotli, Beant Phulewala, Raghbir Bhawanigarh and Jaswinder Aujla said that apart from the said immediate demands, restoration of old pension, old pay scale and deductions, rural allowance, restoration of border area 37 deductions including allowances, activation of pending installments of ACP scheme and DA, proper regularization of all raw teachers in the education department, Sixth Punjab Pay Commission on computer teachers, re-release of grants to school heads and teachers to government schools during the session 2023-24. Taking back the grants sent in between and getting them out of the financial crisis, correcting the errors in the seniority lists, pending promotions of Master cadre from ETT which has been stopped by the Education Department for the last six years, completing the pending promotions of Masters, Lecturers, Headmasters, Principals, C&V and non-teaching cadres, to stop the implementation of unnecessary curriculum changes made by NCERT under NEP-2020 by the Punjab School Education Board, starting the transfer process, restoration of the reduced ETT posts, there is anger among the teachers against the hanging of the primary department's e-Punjab portal and the pending 5994, 2364 recruitments immediately and giving the benefit of higher responsibility pay hike to unemployed, direct recruitment headmasters, principals, BPEO, lecturers on issuing appointment letters. And the Punjab government can move towards the claim of giving priority to education by resolving these demands of the teachers.
