Patiala, June 12 - The World Punjabi Center established by the Punjab Government at Punjabi University, Patiala, today organized the public dedication ceremony of the first Punjabi literary magazine 'Sahitnama'. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Darshan Singh Asht, winner of Sahitya Akademi Children's Literature Award, director of World Punjabi Center and prominent thinker Dr. Bhiminder Singh and the entire editorial board of the magazine.
The event was organized by Researcher/Student Think Tank at World Punjabi Center Punjabi University Patiala. At the beginning of the event, Kamal Saravan delivered the welcome speech. After this editorial board members Savita, Jaskanwal Preet and Kirandeep Kaur shared their experiences regarding the magazine. After presenting the magazine to the public, a poet's darbar was held in which Happy Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Savita, Manpreet Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Navjot Singh and Kamal Saravan recited their works and received a standing ovation. After Kavi Darbar, Dr. Darshan Singh Asht congratulated Dr. Bhiminder Singh, editorial board and research writers, the leader and collaborator of the magazine.
 At the end of the event, Dr. Bhiminder Singh thanked the literature lovers, students and researchers present for participating in the event. The stage management of the event was done by Harpreet Kaur.
