Patiala, June 3 - There is news of a minor girl being raped by a youth in Pattran area of ??the district. The 20-year-old boy lured the girl with the promise of marriage and the accused instigated her to run away from home. After giving sleeping pills to the family, the girl took her belongings and fled at night. The boy took the girl to a hotel and raped her and fled by putting her on a bus. Based on the girl's complaint, a case has been registered against the accused Gurlal Singh.
The victim girl said that she is 16 years old. When she became friends with the accused, he asked her to run away from home and marry him. On the night of May 31, she mixed sleeping pills given by the accused in the family's food. After raping the girl, the accused took her to the same bus stand the next morning and made her sit on a bus. SHO Jaspreet Singh of Pattran police station said that after the victim's complaint, the accused youth has been arrested. Further action is being taken in this regard.
