It was reported that 58.23 percent votes were cast for this seat till 6 pm, but after that nothing was said by the government about the actual percentage of polling.

It was reported that 58.23 percent votes were cast for this seat till 6 pm, but after that nothing was said by the government about the actual percentage of polling.
The public relations department was also contacted two or three times, but nothing happened. After a long wait, the news had to be filed. The polling process went off peacefully. Polling continued from 7 am to 6 pm. Despite the scorching heat, people stood patiently in long queues waiting for their turn. Adequate arrangements were made by the police administration for the safety of the common citizens. Total voters in Patiala Lok Sabha seat are 18 lakh 2 thousand 46 voters. Among them, 9 lakh 42 thousand 205 male voters, 8 lakh 59 thousand 761 female voters and 80 transgender voters.
The main competition in this seat is between BJP's candidate Praneet Kaur, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Dr Balbir Singh, Congress's Dr Dharamvir Gandhi and Shiromani Akali Dal's NK Sharma. Apart from this, 22 other independent candidates are also in the fray. At the same time, Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Constituency NK Sharma has thanked the voters for polling peacefully and peacefully and has said that peace and brotherhood is the real basis for the progress of Punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiat. In a statement issued after the end of the voting time, NK Sharma said that he is happy and satisfied that the work of voting in the entire Patiala parliamentary constituency from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm has been carried out peacefully. No untoward incident occurred anywhere.
