Una, May 29 - In Una district, election campaigning will end at 6 pm on May 30. After that, any party or person will be prohibited from organizing or participating in public meetings or processions related to the elections. Candidates can silently go door-to-door with a total of 5 people including themselves. District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has issued orders in this regard. These orders have been issued in view of the Model Code of Conduct for fair, peaceful and smooth execution of elections.

These orders have been issued in view of the Model Code of Conduct for fair, peaceful and smooth execution of elections.
According to the order issued, all the political leaders and supporters from outside the district who have come to Una for election campaign will have to leave the district boundary as soon as the election campaign period ends from 6 pm on May 30 to 6 pm on June 1 or till the end of voting.
Jatin Lal said that gathering of five or more persons within 100 meters of polling centre buildings will be prohibited. This arrangement will not apply to voters standing in queue at polling centres and the personnel deployed for law and order in the premises. In order to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections, there will be a complete ban on carrying arms, firearms, banners, stickers etc. within 100 meters of polling centres on the day of polling.
At the same time, no person other than authorized election staff and police officers will be able to carry or use mobile phones, cordless phones, wireless phones, or any sound amplification device within a radius of 100 meters of the polling station or inside the polling station. Additionally, the booth of any political party or candidate will not be set up within 200 meters of the polling station. The use of loudspeakers will not be allowed from 6 pm on May 30 till the end of voting.
This order will not apply to government officials/agencies engaged in conducting elections and maintaining essential services.
