SAS Nagar, May 22 - Consumer Protection Federation SAS Nagar members and Mandi Board officials inspected their market at Phase-5. The spokesperson of the federation said that the president of the organization Eng PS Virdi and Savinder Singh Lakhowal along with supervisors of Mandi Board Jaspreet Singh and Gagandeep Singh inspected their market at Phase-5.

On this occasion, it was observed that almost every vendor was extorting the customers and the shopkeepers were charging more than the prescribed rates for essential items like ginger, lemon, garlic, capsicum, cucumber etc. He said that in the meantime, such shopkeepers were fined in the presence of the team and given a strict warning that next time these sellers will not be allowed to sit in the market.
