The scrutiny of these nominations was diligently conducted today by Sh Vinay Pratap Singh, the Returning Officer cum Deputy Commissioner of UT Chandigarh. Among the received nominations, 26 were accepted, while 7 were rejected. The General Observer to Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency, Sh SS Gill, was also present on the last day of Nomination as well as on the day of Scrutiny. All the Affidavits have been uploaded and can be viewed on affidavit.eci.gov.in, the Voter Helpline app, as well as Know Your Candidate app. The Nomination Papers of Sh Rajesh, Sh Navtej Singh, Sh Prem Pal, Sh Amit Sharma, Sh Satnam Singh, Sh Surinder Singh (covering candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party) and Sh Ajay Tewari (covering candidate of Indian National Congress) were rejected.
