Patiala, May 4 - Senior Captain Police Patiala Varun Sharma has said that CIA Patiala under the leadership of Yugesh Sharma SP (Investigation) and Avtar Singh DSP (D) Patiala under the special operation to trace the thefts happening in Patiala city. A team was formed which played its best role and arrested the accused Ravi Saini son Radhe Shyam of Hisar while tracing the theft at Power Colony.
5 lakh rupees in cash and gold have been recovered from him. According to the police, on April 23, he broke the locks of Anil Kumar's house at Power Colony (near Shakti Vihar), Patiala and stole cash and jewellery. Giving further information, SSP said that CIA Patiala, acting on the basis of secret information, arrested Ravi Saini on April 30 from Hisar (Haryana). He was remanded after being produced in the court. During the investigation, 5 lakh rupees and gold were recovered from the accused.
  Ravi Saini has a criminal background against which theft cases have already been registered in Hisar (Haryana), Churu (Rajasthan) and Sangrur (Punjab) and he has been arrested and stayed in jails in Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. The SSP said that the accused is still on police remand, who is being interrogated in depth. Further police remand will be obtained from the court and in-depth interrogation will be done.
