DBI Nursing celebrated World Malaria Day and Immunization Week
Mandi Gobindgarh, May 3 – Desh Bhagat Institute of Nursing (DBIN) celebrated World Malaria Day and World Immunization Week with an aim to raise awareness and promote preventive health measures. On the occasion of World Malaria Day, DBIN students held a health talk at Government District Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib. He highlighted the important role of malaria vaccines. Balkar Singh Chhibbar, SMO, District Hospital emphasized on wearing protective clothing like full-sleeved shirts and socks to reduce the risk of malaria from mosquito bites.

Along with this, World Immunization Week was also celebrated. Students created awareness about the importance of vaccination in disease prevention at the District Hospital. A rally was also held in this regard. Balkar Singh Chhibbar flagged off the rally. Both the programs were conducted by Prof Ravideep Kaur, Gurwinder Kaur and Meen Bala. Lavasampuranjot Kaur, Director, Institute and Professor Prabhjot Singh, HOD Community Health Nursing highlighted the importance of public health initiatives to promote healthy communities.
