Nawanshahr - Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr organized a drug awareness camp at Government High School village Chakali Sujat under the "Nash Mukt Bharat Abhiyan". It was presided over jointly by Manoj Kumar Head Teacher and Mrs. Kamala Devi Sarpanch. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) said that the young generation of Punjab is badly trapped in the gang of drugs.

He said that the youth should be aware about drugs so that they can avoid incurable diseases. Addiction alienates a person from society and family. The mental level of a drug addict falls to such an extent, that he starts committing crimes. You are never meant to live in the hell of drugs. You were built to win. On this occasion Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Counselor) informed the people about the facilities and activities of the center. If a person falls under the influence of this drugs, he should be encouraged to come to the center for treatment. He gave detailed information about the treatment of patients in the center. On this occasion, Manoj Kumar, head teacher thanked the Red Cross team. On this occasion, teachers Rajinder Kaur, Suresh Kumar Panch, Mahendra Pal, Manjit Kaur AW, Sunita Rani, Charan Singh, Sahil Kumar and students were present.
