The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the purchase arrangements in the grain markets of the district

Patiala, April 20 – Deputy Commissioner Patiala Shaukat Ahmed Pare visited Dadhera, Mahamadpur and Dhablan mandis today. On this occasion, while reviewing the wheat procurement, he instructed the procurement agencies to ensure that wheat is procured in the markets along with its arrival. Along with this, he also directed that the lifting of wheat purchased from the mandis should also be ensured simultaneously.

On this occasion, while reviewing the wheat procurement, he instructed the procurement agencies to ensure that wheat is procured in the markets along with its arrival. Along with this, he also directed that the lifting of wheat purchased from the mandis should also be ensured simultaneously.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the farmers and reviewed the procurement system in the mandis and instructed the representatives of Mandi Board, Market Committee and procurement agencies that the farmers who come to sell their goods in the mandi should not face any kind of problem. Talking to the farmers, the Deputy Commissioner said that there are adequate arrangements for procurement in all the 110 mandis established in Patiala district and no farmer will be allowed to face any problem. He said that today MD Warehouse Kamaljit Brar and ADC of the district and SDM of all sub-divisions have visited the mandis and taken stock of the procurement arrangements. He also appealed to the farmers to bring their dry goods to the mandis so that they can get fair price for their crops and they do not have to sit in the mandis for long. The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is agile and has ensured that the farmers bringing their goods to the mandis do not face any kind of problem.
On this occasion, ACFA Rakesh Garg along with district managers of various procurement agencies, farmers and farmers were also present.
