
The team of the district health department sent food samples for testing

Under the same link, the team of District Health Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar Jindal and Food Safety Officer Jaswinder Singh, after receiving the complaint, checked the fertilizers at Narayan General Store.
Patiala, April 20 - In order to provide clean food to the people, to prevent adulteration in food, the district health department takes action against the sellers of adulterated products from time to time. Under the same link, the team of District Health Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar Jindal and Food Safety Officer Jaswinder Singh, after receiving the complaint, checked the fertilizers at Narayan General Store. He said that on April 14, the complainant bought a gift pack containing chocolate, juice and snacks from Narayan Journal Store. The children of the family faced health problems and were admitted to DMC Ludhiana due to the expired gift pack items.
Acting on the complaint, the district health department team conducted a thorough inspection of the shop in the presence of the police party and the complainant and seven samples of food items were taken, including dairy milk chocolate, 2 bales of full mix, marbles. Cakes, Chocolate Flavor, Gulab Jamon, Dairy Milk Chocolate Fruit & Nuts, Muffin Chocolates and seized the remaining 27 food items which had expired. The samples taken have been sent to the lab for testing. Appropriate action will be taken against the owner concerned based on the report of the samples.
