
Public presentation of the book "Kavik Lakiran" by the Punjab Secretariat Sahitya Sabha

Sahitya Sabha president Malkit Singh Aujla edited the joint book "Kavik Lakiran" of various works written by 52 writers who have a prominent place in Punjabi literature.
Efforts are made by the officials and employees associated with literature and culture of Punjab Civil Secretariat Chandigarh to serve the Punjabi mother tongue. Sahitya Sabha president Malkit Singh Aujla edited the joint book "Kavik Lakiran" of various works written by 52 writers who have a prominent place in Punjabi literature. The public offering ceremony was held at Punjab Bhavan In which the chief guest was the retired IAS officer Mr. Manjit Singh Narang. Shiromani Child Literary Manmohan Singh Daun participated in this event as a special guest and District Language Officer Davinder Boha from Mohali presided over the event and noted poet Prof. Kulwant Singh Aujla read the book after carefully examining the book.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Mr. Malkit Singh Aujla, President of the Secretariat Sahitya Sabha said that he had appealed to the employees of the Secretariat that those employees who are associated with Punjabi literature and are fond of writing songs, poems and ghazals, should submit their works. To be sent to the Sahitya Sabha for publication in the book. After that, many old writers of the Secretariat and newly recruited employees sent their works, in which apart from the Secretariat employees, the employees from many other offices also sent their works. To give more encouragement to the pen of these writers, the works of many famous writers were also included in this book, including prominent poets Shamsher Sandhu, Manmohan Singh Daun, Bibi Daljit Kaur Daun, Bachan Bedil, Albel Brar, Harwinder Ohadpuri, Labh Chatamli Wala, Bhupinder Matourwala, Bhagat Ram Rangara, Ali Rajpura, Sarabjit Virdi, Prof Sardul Aujla, Harjinder Sain Sketari, Jind Sawara, Baldev Pradesi, Varyam Batalvi, Pritam Ludhianvi, Baljit Fidyanwala, Lakhvir Lakhi etc. are worth mentioning.
Among the writers of the secretariat are Raj Kumar Sahowalia, Amar Virdi, Jarnail Hushiarpuri, Ajmer Sagar, Colonel Sahota, Ranjodh Rana, Dalbir Saroa, Gurmeet Singal, Surjeet Suman, Paramdeep Bhabat, Bhupinder Jhaj, Kartar Chhina, Baljinder Balli, Harpreet Balgan, Kuldeep Khara, Shudesh Kumari, Nirmala, Baljeet Kaur, Jatinder Kaur Bindra, Harbans Preet, Arshdeep Singh, Sukhwinder Noorpuri, Inderjit Singh, K. Roy, Roop Satwant, Amaninder Singh, Sukhcharan Singh Sahoke, Jasbir Singh, Navpreet Singh, Ujagar Singh Pannuan, Kewal Manakpuri , works of Johnpal etc. are included.
Speaking on this occasion, Chief Mr. Manjit Singh Narang IAS (Ret.) said that this work done by Malkit Singh Aujla is very commendable and it is to be hoped that he will continue to do similar work in the future. Sromani Bal writer Manmohan Singh Daun, giving his reaction to the works of the authors in the book, said that the writers in the book have presented their feelings in a very beautiful and coherent manner and all the works in the book are worth reading and commendable. Dr. Davinder Boha, who is presiding over the program, described this book as a very valuable book that such original books are sorely lacking in Punjabi literature. If all the Sahitya Sabhas of Punjab take such serious and meaningful efforts, then there is no threat to Punjabi language and literature. While reading this book, Malkit Singh Aujla's head should be appreciated. Because editing is not an easy task. Because every writer writes his feelings and thoughts on paper and the editor has a big responsibility to convey it to the readers. In the end I would say that Malkit Singh Aujla has been completely successful in his purpose.
In this event, writer Karnail Sahota, poet Raj Kumar Sahowalia, storyteller Gurmeet Singal and poet Surjit Suman were presented with Seva Mukti honors by the Sabha. The stage was moderated by Raj Kumar Sahowalia. The writers included in the book were honored by the assembly by presenting the set of the book.
