
Two persons involved in the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Vikas Prabhakar have been arrested by the police
Chandigarh, April 16 - Punjab Police has arrested two persons involved in the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Vikas Prabhakar yesterday. According to the information shared on social media by Punjab DGP Shri Gaurav Yad, this incident was carried out at the behest of a foreign based terrorist gang. He said that these persons have been arrested during the joint operation of State Special Operation Cell Mohali and Rupnagar Police.
Chandigarh, April 16 - Punjab Police has arrested two persons involved in the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Vikas Prabhakar yesterday. He said that these persons have been arrested during the joint operation of State Special Operation Cell Mohali and Rupnagar Police.
The DGP said that the two arrested accused have been identified as Mandeep Kumar alias Mangi and Surinder Kumar alias Rikka. Both of them are operatives of a terrorist module supported by a Pakistan-based terrorist mastermind. Two 32 bore pistols, 16 cartridges, one shell and a scooter used in the crime have also been recovered from the accused. The DGP said that preliminary investigation has revealed that it is a terrorist module, which is operating from Portugal and other places. Mandeep and Surinder used to work for them in the greed of money.
It may be mentioned here that Vikas Prabhakar, president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, was murdered by two youths riding an Activa on the railway road of Nangal last Saturday evening when he was sitting in his shop. One of these youths was wearing a helmet and the other had his face covered with a cloth. When an employee of a nearby shop went to collect goods from Vikas's shop, he saw Vikas in an injured condition and informed his employer. After this, the shopkeepers rushed Vikas to the Civil Hospital in critical condition. Where the duty doctor declared him dead.
