Hoshiarpur - District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that in view of the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, awareness regarding votes is being spread in all the assembly constituencies of the district under continuous sweep activities. Its main objective is to achieve the target of over 70 percent voter turnout and increase the vote percentage.

Under the same series, District Sweep Nodal Officer Preet Kohli along with District Media and Communication members Rajnish Guliani and Neeraj Dhiman informed the employees of Sonalika Udyog Group about the importance of voting. Meanwhile, Preet Kohli stood at the main gate of Sonalika Udyog Group and played the tambourine to educate the employees going to the shifts after finishing work to vote. Speaking on the occasion, Preet Kohli openly discussed many issues and also took an oath to strengthen democracy by exercising the right to vote.
He said that vote is the basis of the country's development and one vote is of special importance for a strong democracy. Thus, all the voters should exercise their right to vote in an essential manner, so that a strong democracy can be built. Preet Kohli said that for a strong democracy, it is necessary to vote without all the tasks, in which the participation of all sections is necessary.
He made all of them take an oath to vote without any fear, pressure or greed. SK Pomra, Vijay Kumar, Surjeet, Ashok Pathak, Ashish, Rajesh and others were present on this occasion.
