These views were expressed by Sannaur assembly constituency MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra while participating in the city kirtan organized with the help of Sangat under the patronage of Sant Baba Kashmir Singh Ji Bhuri Wale, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Bhuri Wale in village Ghadam of Sannaur constituency.

On this occasion, Jathedar Baba Kashmir Singh Ji Bhuri said that the holy festival of Baisakhi is celebrated with devotion not only in Punjab but also in India as well as America and Canada. He said that on the day of Baisakhi, the tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had started the Khalsa Panth on 13 April 1699, whose main objective was to protect the religion and welfare of the society. Baisakhi is also known as Aries Sankranti and Baisakhi is considered as the first day of Bengali calendar and this day is celebrated as a festival in Bengal.
On this occasion, Jathedar Baba Kashmir Singh Ji Bhuri Wale, Sukhwinder Singh, MLA Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra, Sukhdev Singh and all the devotees and servants were present.
