Mandi Gobindgarh, April 8 - The Faculty of Nursing and Dental College and Hospital of Desh Bhagat University celebrated World Health Day with various activities and awareness campaigns. World Health Day, celebrated every year under the auspices of the World Health Organization under this year's theme, "My Health, My Right" reflects the global need to ensure healthcare and education.
The nursing faculty designed several programs under educational and creative activities to educate and motivate its students. These included quiz, rangoli, poster making and speech competition All of which centered around the theme of World Health Day. Participants from various nursing programs showcased their talent and knowledge Informed about rights and responsibilities related to health. On this occasion DBU Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur attended as chief guests. Prof Ravideep Kaur and Gurwinder Kaur were the coordinators of the event. Faculty of Nursing Director Victor Devasirvadam S, Prof Lovesampuranjot Kaur and Prof Prabhjot Singh, shared scholarly information. The winners were felicitated with prizes recognizing their exemplary contribution and understanding of health advocacy. Meanwhile, Department of Public Health Dentistry of Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital organized several initiatives to celebrate World Health Day. Dr. Unnati Pitale, Principal, lent her expertise and support to the event, emphasizing the important role of dental health in overall well-being. Dr Ravneet Kaur introduced the activities. These included reel making competition, awareness advertising act, photography competition and sketching.
