Nawanshahr - The police have received the news that heroin has been recovered from a scooter-riding young man at Mehli Naka. In this regard, ASI Satnam Singh, in charge of Mehli Chowki, said that during the investigation of suspicious vehicles, a young man was riding a scooter without number and coming from Phagwara side.
Who stopped seeing the naka in front and started turning back. He was controlled with the help of his fellow employees and after checking the wax envelope thrown by him, 8 grams of heroin was recovered from it. The arrested youth was identified as Rohit Mehta son of Ashok Mehta resident of Farala. The police have arrested him and started further action. On this occasion, SHO Rajeev Kumar, ASI Satnam Singh, ASI Raj Kumar, ASI Kulwinder Singh, Havaldar Des Raj and Constable Amandeep Singh were present.
