
Khalsa College Mahilpur distributed degrees to around 850 students on the occasion of convocation
Mahilpur, March 8:- About 850 UG and PG students were awarded degrees on the occasion of the convocation held at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here under the arrangements of the Sikh Educational Council. On the occasion of this convocation, Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh and Padma Shri Dr. Harminder Singh Bedi attended as the chief guest while the ceremony was presided over by Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishna Singh Rowdy.
Mahilpur, March 8:- About 850 UG and PG students were awarded degrees on the occasion of the convocation held at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here under the arrangements of the Sikh Educational Council. On the occasion of this convocation, Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh and Padma Shri Dr. Harminder Singh Bedi attended as the chief guest while the ceremony was presided over by Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishna Singh Rowdy.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh shared the welcome words and shared information about the history of the college and told about the achievements of the college in the academic, sports and art fields. On this occasion, the chief guest Dr. Harminder Singh Bedi said that a country like India has been known since ancient times as a land of different traditions of knowledge where universities like Nalanda and Taxila were world renowned educational centers. He encouraged them to pursue higher education and serve their society and wished the students a bright future. He also appreciated the contribution made by Khalsa College Mahilpur in the field of football and academics. On this occasion Dr. Harminder Singh Bedi, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rowdy, President of Sikh Educational Council Sant Sadhu Singh Kaharpur, Patron Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai, Manager Inderjit Singh Bharta, Secretary Prof. Apinder Singh and Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh of UG and PG Awarded degrees to around 850 students in various courses. Prof. Apinder Singh, President of the Council, shared the words of thanks. Meanwhile, the office bearers of the Sikh Educational Council honored the chief guest Dr. Harminder Singh Bedi, Dr. Gurnam Kaur and Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Singh Rowdy. On this occasion, Prince Jagmohan Singh and Dr. Parminder Singh Thiara, who provided financial support to the college, were also honored by the management of the college. On this occasion, Senior Vice President of the Council Gurpreet Singh Bains, Virinder Sharma, Wing Commander Hardev Singh Dhillon, Surinder Sharma, Sohan Singh Lalia, Mata Jaspreet Kaur, Principal Dr. Rohtansh, Santokh Singh, Daljit Singh Bains, Principal Shibu Mathew, Gurdayal Singh Kaharpur, Harnandan Singh Khabra, Prof. Surinder Pal Pardesi, Prof. Jaswinder Singh, Dr. Bimala Jaswal, Prof. Dev Kumar, Dr. Aarti Sharma, Prof. Tajinder Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kumar etc., all teaching, non-teaching staff and students of the college were present.
