Una, April 2:- 516 polling stations have been set up for the elections in Una district. Out of these, 25 polling stations will be operated by women workers. Apart from this, 5 polling stations will be managed by young workers. This information was given by District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. He was speaking in a meeting held through video conference from Shimla by Chief Election Officer Manish Garg to review the preparations related to the smooth execution of the elections.

Una, April 2:- 516 polling stations have been set up for the elections in Una district. Out of these, 25 polling stations will be operated by women workers. He apprised the Chief Election Officer about the complete preparations and election arrangements of Una district.
He informed that in every assembly constituency in the district, there will be 5 polling stations operated by women workers. In this way, there will be a total of 25 polling stations operated by women workers in the district. Apart from this, 1 polling station in every assembly constituency will be operated by a young worker. In this way, there will be a total of 5 polling stations in the district whose operation will be handled by young workers below the age of 30 years. A total of 20 model polling stations will be set up in the district, in which there will be 4 model polling stations per assembly constituency.
Apart from this, an eco-friendly green polling station will be established in the district.
Voter registration will continue till May 4
Let us tell you, there are 4 lakh 28 thousand 589 voters registered in Una district. Among them, there are 2 lakh 11 thousand 684 female voters and 2 lakh 16 thousand 901 male voters and 4 third gender voters. Voter registration will continue till May 4. Therefore, it is possible that the number of voters may increase.
Web casting proposed at 302 polling stations
Jatin Lal said that webcasting is proposed at 302 polling stations out of 516 in the district. This includes webcasting of all 51 critical polling stations in the district. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the Lok Sabha by-election in Una district and the assembly by-elections in Gagret and Kutlehar. All necessary facilities have been arranged for the voters at the polling stations.
Counting of votes will be done in PG Degree College Una
The District Election Officer said that arrangements have been made for counting of votes at PG Degree College Una. 5 counting centres have been set up assembly wise for counting of EVM votes of Lok Sabha. Apart from this, 2 separate counting centres have been set up for the assembly by-elections of Gagret and Kutlahar.
The District Election Officer has speeded up the work of entering the data of election personnel in the DISE software. So far, about 50 percent of the work has been completed. It will be completed soon.
